The Cambridge Imprint Sea Urchin French Lavender Hardback Notebook is a beautifully crafted slim hardback notebook, inspired by the beloved patterned German Insel-Bücherei books of the inter-war period — those elegant little volumes that also inspired King Penguins and later Ladybird books in the United Kingdom.

Covered in Cambridge Imprint’s Sea Urchin patterned paper in a soft French Lavender colourway, each notebook contains 80 pages of plain cream paper, sewn properly and bound to open completely flat. Sea Urchin is an original Cambridge Imprint design first published in spring 2024 — a gentle, repeating small motif printed in two colours that is both restful and refined. The front cover has a rectangular cream label.

Cambridge Imprint designs and prints all of its patterned papers in the UK using hand-mixed colours, making every product a small piece of considered British craftsmanship.
