The Cambridge Imprint Animalcules Bawden Green Hardback Notebook is a beautifully crafted slim hardback notebook, inspired by the beloved patterned German Insel-Bücherei books of the inter-war period — those elegant little volumes that also inspired King Penguins and later Ladybird books in the United Kingdom.

Covered in Cambridge Imprint’s charming Animalcules patterned paper in the Bawden Green colourway, each notebook contains 80 pages of plain cream paper, sewn properly and bound to open completely flat. The Animalcules pattern features tiny illustrated creatures in the style of historical natural history drawings — a truly distinctive and collectible design. The front cover has a rectangular cream label.

Cambridge Imprint designs and prints all of its patterned papers in the UK using hand-mixed colours, making every product a small piece of considered British craftsmanship.
